Do you offer local pickup?
Not at this time — all orders are shipped directly to your door.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we only ship within the United States. International shipping. Our products are regulated differently in other countries.
What should I do if my order is damaged or something is missing?
Please email us at support@sfsmartshop.com with your order number and a photo if applicable. We’ll make it right as quickly as we can.
Can I cancel or change my order?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll do our best to help. Email us as soon as possible.
How long does shipping take?
Most orders ship within 1–3 business days. Once shipped, delivery usually takes 2–5 business days depending on your location. We’ll send you tracking as soon as it’s on its way.
How does shipping work?
We ship via USPS and UPS, and all packages come with tracking. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email as soon as it leaves our shop.
Can I exchange my product?
Yes — if it's unopened and returned within 30 days of purchase, we're happy to offer an exchange. Just reach out first so we can walk you through the process.
Do you accept returns?
We accept returns on most unopened items within 30 days. Email us at support@sfsmartshop.com to start the process. Customers must pay for return shipping.
Is your packaging discreet?
Absolutely. Your package will arrive in plain packaging without branding
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and secure online payments. If you're shopping in-store, we also accept cash and cards.
Are your products ethically sourced?
We do our best to source all of our products as mindfully and sustainably as possible. For example, our San Pedro and Peruvian Torch cacti are not wild-harvested — they’re nursery-grown in Arizona.
We choose suppliers who use organic or low-impact growing methods and maintain relationships with them for years.
Are the products you sell legal?
Yes — everything we offer is legal at the federal level and compliant with U.S. law. However, some products are regulated differently from state to state.
To make things simple, our website checks your ZIP code at checkout. If an item isn’t legal to ship to your location, you’ll be notified before you can complete your order. We don’t ship restricted products to states where they’re not allowed — no exceptions.
What should I know about your Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark?
If Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark is listed on our website, that means it’s currently in stock and available. We are offering the inner part of the bark in chunky form only at this point — not powdered, shredded, or in any other variation.
We do not offer samples, but we receive consistent, positive feedback from our customers about its quality. Our trusted suppliers are based in Brazil or Mexico, depending on the batch, and the origin is always clearly specified on the product page.
If you need extra reassurance, feel free to visit us in person.
Can you give me advice on how to use your products?
We’re not trained or certified to provide medical, therapeutic, or usage advice — and many of our products are not intended for consumption. We encourage all customers to do their own research and make informed decisions based on their own needs, values, and comfort level.
Where are you located?
We’re at 1351 Grant Avenue, in the heart of North Beach, San Francisco — the neighboorhood’s historic hub for artists, poets, and psychedelic culture. We're steps away from legendary spots like Vesuvio Café, City Book light Store or Cafe Trieste.
Can I visit the shop in person?
Absolutely. We’re open to the public during our posted business hours – Noon to 7pm, everyday. Be ready to enter a space that’s equal parts herbal apothecary, art gallery, and cultural experiment. We are passionate explorers, artists, and educators who care about what we offer. We’re always happy to talk, answer questions from fellow seekers.
Is there parking nearby?
There’s street parking on Grant Avenue and the surrounding residential blocks — it’s often possible to find a spot.
For garages, you can use:
- 520 Green St (across from Golden Boy Pizza)
- 421 Green St (near Bank of America)
- 735 Vallejo St (North Beach Garage)

What’s the Full Moon Trip Temple all about?
The Full Moon Trip Temple is our signature monthly gathering — part social sculpture, part living ritual, and all community magic. It happens on the Saturday closest to each full moon, from 8 PM to midnight.
We provide art supplies, and everyone is invited to make art together. There’s always art on the walls to enjoy, a live performance, poetry, or something spontaneous, teas and a shared altar you can take part in.
It’s a great way to meet the Professor Seagull community, spend time with creative and curious people, and experience the space as it’s truly meant to be — alive, collaborative, and a little bit magical.
What is the 1st Friday event?
1st Friday is part of a monthly art and cultural walk through Old North Beach, where galleries, bars, libraries, and shops open their doors for special events, concerts, and exhibitions. You’re invited to wander the neighborhood, experience the local art scene, and discover what each space is offering.
At Professor Seagull’s, 1st Friday is an open house and art opening reception for the artists showing in our space. We serve non-alcoholic elixirs or herbal cocktails. A good space to meet the artists.
The evening runs from 5 PM to 9 PM (or later if the vibe is right).
What is the peer support group?
Our peer support group is a gathering held on the third Thursday of each month (7-9pm), open to everyone — no matter your level of experience. It’s a space for open-hearted conversation around psychedelic experiences, plant work, personal transformation, and integration, held by people who are trained to support these discussions with care and skill.
I’m an artist — how can I show at your gallery?
We’re always open to connecting with artists who resonate with what we do. If you’d like to collaborate, the best way to start is by emailing us at support@sfsmartshop.com with a short description of yourself, your artistic approach, the medium you work with, and, if possible, the typical sizes of your pieces.
Please also include a link to your Instagram or website so we can view your work.
Sometimes we feature a solo artist, and other times we host group shows with multiple voices. We typically work on a 30% commission model. We love showcasing artists from North Beach, but we also welcome creatives from beyond.
